About the role As Assistant Store Manager, you will help support the day-to-day performance, culture and operations of an SSM store. This is a hands-on leadership support role where you will work closely with the Store Support Manager to help coach and support the team, maintain strong store standards, drive customer experience and keep the store operating smoothly when the Store Support Manager is working across locations. You will be supported by your Store Support Manager and wider QBD leadership team, and you will participate in relevant parts of QBD’s Leadership Program, designed to help build practical leadership capability across coaching, communication, team support, customer experience, onboarding and store operations. This is a full-time role, generally worked Sunday to Thursday, with roster details confirmed as part of the recruitment process. What you will do In this role, you will: support the Store Support Manager in the day-to-day running of the store; champion QBD’s Awesome Customer Experience program and role-model warm, confident and proactive customer service; help coach and support Team Members to deliver strong customer experiences and meet daily store expectations; provide practical on-shift direction, communication and support to the store team; support selected recruitment, onboarding, coaching and training follow-up activities under the guidance of the Store Support Manager; help maintain a positive, inclusive and accountable team culture where people feel supported to learn, grow and do great work; support store performance, including sales, conversion, average transaction value and customer experience outcomes; use store priorities, daily planning tools and practical coaching to help the team understand what good looks like; maintain strong visual merchandising, stock, replenishment, housekeeping and operational standards; support education, events, campaigns and local store initiatives; communicate clearly with your team and with the Store Support Manager, Support Office, Operations, Education and Regional leadership teams; help lead a one-team culture that puts customer experience, team wellbeing and safe work practices first.
